We celebrated the fourth of July with a little shopping in the local market.
A lot of shoe shops.
Peru imports their shoe parts from China and then sets up little house factories that the people assemble the shoes in. There are a ton of shoes for sale in Trujillo.
After all that shopping, Ike was plain worn out.
Later in the afternoon we went to a Horse Show with another great group of missionaries.
Is he not a Peruvian Jack Black?
His expressions were the best part of the show.
Nothing better than a smart horse that can turn a tight corner.
We are not big audience participators, but we wanted to be good sports
Janet is the only person in the whole wide world that could make
Tom do this...
She leaned over to him and let him know that there may
be a little audience participation and that he better be a good sport and he was.
Awkward
Isaac didn't mind
His partner was just the right size for him.
After the show, empanadas, and drinks we headed back
to the mission home for a little rest and dinner before our flight home.
We will never forget our time in Trujillo with the Turks and these missionaries.
